RSS Alarm is a chrome extension which periodically checks RSS feeds in the background and informs you via notifications if there are news or updates at any of your subscribed rss feeds.

Perfect! It does exactly what it's supposed to and nothing more.

Great extension. Supports multiple feeds and allows entry of the forwarding URL, shich defines where the feed directs you on click. You can also set the feed to send you directly to the entry. Works well and much better than those quoted via Google search.
