This extension disables Hangouts on Google+, Gmail, Google Contacts and Google Inbox
stay on task
So much promise, but it doesn't work in the way that matters. My problem wasn't the Hangouts icon--it's chat windows opening up across all Google products all the time. Today this extension doesn't help with that. Too bad.
