Description

Stay focused with a task list, pomodoro timer, site blacklist, and tab management. Boost your productivity.

Introducing Pavlok's newest chrome extension, the ultimate productivity tool for anyone looking to stay focused and on track with their tasks. With our extension, you'll be able to create a task list and use the built-in pomodoro timer to break your work into manageable chunks and stay focused during each session.

But that's not all - our extension also includes a blacklist feature that allows you to specify websites that tend to distract you. Set a time limit for blacklisted sites, and you'll receive notifications, vibrations, or zaps as a reminder to stay on task.

And if you're someone who tends to keep a lot of tabs open, our extension also includes a tab management feature to send you stimuli when you open too many tabs, helping you to reduce clutter and improve focus.

This extension works without the Pavlok device, but you'll only receive chrome notifications. Create a Pavlok account by downloading the app (https://pavlok.com/app) or creating it on the web ( https://app.pavlok.com/users/sign_up )

This extension has promise, but is disappointingly mostly nonfunctional. The great majority of the time it triggers a "Stimulus Sent" message, nothing happens on the Pavlok device. (Who knows, maybe the backend Pavlok systems are a mess.) It seems like it could work when I first installed the extension, and has almost never worked since then. Also under More > Remote Control > Beep is an entirely nonfunctional button (as opposed to Zap & Vibe, which you can at least click on and attempt to send a stimulus). That's a wildly embarrassing oversight for any piece of software, IMO, suggesting it was never looked at or tested even once.

I don't understand how this extension works? I have already added websites to block, but when I start the Pomodoro timer, and visit the blocked website, I can still visit it and I won't get zapped, nothing really happen?! It seems like the designer of this extension has their own unique need for a focus blocker. I thought this would be an upgraded version of LeechBlock, but it doesn't block anything or punish/remind me with my Pavlok 3 watch. The only thing working is the remote control panel. But why would I need that when there's buttons on the watch already?!

I love the concept, but the timer is not accurate.
