It allows JavaScript, Flash, Java and other executable content to run only from trusted domains of your choice, e.g. your home-banking site, mitigating remotely exploitable vulnerabilities including Spectre and Meltdown.

It protects your "trust boundaries" against cross-site scripting attacks (XSS), cross-zone DNS rebinding / CSRF attacks (router hacking), and Clickjacking attempts.

Such a preemptive approach prevents exploitation of security vulnerabilities (known and even unknown!) with no loss of functionality where you need it.

Good extension, b.A.A.d webstore and company. Google is sadly killing this off with MV3, because profits first, users second.

I have been using this extension for probably 10 years (ok maybe not that long but I've been a loyal fan since forever!). I love it. I love how you can block certain things on a page - like ads - so you dont have to see weird pictures while looking at Wiki. No matter what laptop or computer I have, or what browser I use, I always download 2 apps: NoScript and Cash Cleaner Pro. They are simple, clean, and affected. What more can you ask? Now i am seeing that Google is getting rid of this and many other useful extensions that actually does what it says it does. This just seems super scummy. Everyone should have this app. And when Google no longer provides it, I'll be switching to FireFox, Edge, Opera, seriously any other one that still has it. Gross Google.

Connecting to the internet without NoScript is an unacceptable security and privacy risk. When Google no longer supports NoScript, then I need to change the browser again. Good bye Google Chrome...
