Focus for Google Docs

Amazing extension, it's helped me so much. Even collapsing the formatting options into a tiny bar in default Docs isn't enough, I need the page to be completely clear of clutter, which this does excellently. There is a slight inconvenience, being that every time I accidentally press escape, the distracting menus and stuff return and I'm not sure how to remove them again without exciting and re-entering focus mode - which reloads the page and forces me to find my place again, re-zoom the document, etc. Is there any way to have an option to disable the escape control? Or am I missing something?

eeeeh yeah. i mean you cant exactly get the controls back afterwards. idk if this is just a glitch but ¯\_(Ｔ▽Ｔ)_/¯
