Description

Gives the option to save WEBP images to JPG/PNG

A new "Save Image As..." with the icon of the extension will appear when you right-click an image. You need to use this, because it's not possible to modify the behavior of chrome's native "Save image as..." context menu option.

.webp images can be a nuisance to deal with, here you're given an option to save the image as either a JPG or PNG instead. Conversion is done for you, directly.

UPDATE 4: I am having too many problems with this extension, Save WEBP as JPG/PNG. Even after turning off and on again, it almost never works on any site I try to use it on. Although the dev is a kind and dedicated person, I am too tired of reporting bugs for it. So for that reason, I am uninstalling it, and sticking with Convert WebP to JPG, which is working more consistently for me. UPDATE 3: The dev has debugged the issue, we await the new extension update. After the update, I will test the extension again. If it works properly for all webp images I try it on, I will amend the 3 Stars to 5 Stars. Thanks, Rafic! 👍 UPDATE 2: The dev Rafic Haddad is kindly looking into the problem, asking me questions, and I am doing my best to answer them. We are trying to trouble-shoot the extension together on GitHub. We've discovered that the extension _does_ work on some Webp images, but not others. Rafic is looking into the kind of image pages that the extension is not working with, and currently trying to debug the issue. For this reason, I have upgraded my original 1-Star review to 3 Stars. UPDATE 1: I have now opened a 'New Issue' on GitHub for this extension, so the developer can further study the problem. Because clearly, this is happening to more than one person, so it's important to clear this up. Original 1-Star Review: Same thing as Neko. I right-click on the webp image, select the extension version of "Save image as..." but nothing happens. I will try a different extension.
