Description

Enhances Salesforce formulas with syntax highlighting, autocomplete, formatting, field analysis, and syntax checking.

Use this extension to save time and headaches working with Salesforce formulas. It helps you quickly understand the structure of a Salesforce formula, debug it, and edit the formula.

This extension requires a paid license key subscription and offers a free 14-day trial.

Watch the video and visit the extension's website for examples of the below features:
https://www.enhancedformulaeditor.com/

When you visit a Salesforce formula edit page it will automatically enhance the formula text field with a code editor or provide an Open button to use the code editor in a popup window. This includes Flow formulas, Process Builder formulas, formula fields, validation rule formulas, workflow rule formulas, and field update formulas.

The extension is updated during each Salesforce quarterly release to support the latest API versions and the latest formula functions.

Editor Features Include:
- Syntax highlighting
- Tabbing (tab and shift-tab)
- Parentheses matching
- Format button
- Autocompletion
- Review Changes
- Automated Syntax Checking

A new button named "Analyze Fields" is added to formula pages that loads details about the fields found in the formula. Field details include:
- Field type
- How many times it is used
- Formula field compile sizes
- Field record values
- Picklist values
- Sub formulas

This tool is awesome. I didn't think I needed it until I had it. Favorite features: - Ability to check syntax without having to press the 'Check Syntax' button - Ability to see related field/formula compile sizes - Ability to call up fields by typing them without having to go to the clunky 'Insert Field' button - Color coded formulas - get to easily see what's commented in, commented out, functions, etc

Great features so far! Really wanted to make use of the "Analyze fields" feature which does not seem to support our custom object. This object is also somewhat a managed object created by our partner organization. The error message I receive is the following. "Error describing object 'Object_Name__c'. It may only be accessible from a newer version of the API or you may not have meta data api access. Error message: The requested resource does not exist." Is there a workaround for this?

Great extension! I love it and use it almost on a daily basis. Can't imagine life without it now! If I can make one suggestion though, it would be to not have the formula editor open in a separate window when trying to write a formula in flow. If I'm making a formula for my flow's start condition or if I'm making a formula for a variable/resource, the only option I have is for the formula editor to open in a separate window. I would love if it kept the formula editor confined to the same window. It functions like that already for custom formula fields in object manager, I just wish it did the same for flow.
