A Chrome Extension to differentiate tabs with the same Favicon

Color Icon is an extension that enables the user to distinguish tabs with the same favicon by marking them with a color of your choice.

I can't figure out how/if it works. I opened the menu box, chose a position and a color and hit save... nothing happens.
