Description

Block/Hide comment sections across the web (Social Media, News Articles, Blogs etc).

By default, NoComment hides all comments on all websites where it detects them. In the options you can change this to not hide comments by default.

It also includes an "Allowlist" and a "Blocklist", where you can specify URLs/URL patterns that will allow or block those certain websites only.

For example:

- If you add "https://twitter.com" to the Blocklist, you will not see any comments on Twitter, but you will still see them elsewhere on all other sites.
- If you wanted to hide all comments except Facebook, you would add "https://facebook.com" to your Allowlist.

People may choose to hide comments for a myriad of reasons including

- Loss of productivity that could spent doing more important or positive things
- Stress/mental health issues due to constant negativity exposed on many social media sites & news articles.

And many more.

Feel free to install, play around with it and send me feedback as to how you find it/if there are any websites it does not work correctly with.

I'm on Github (@dsgriffin) and Twitter (@griffds) if you are interested.

Thank you for reading and all the best!

Finally got it to do what I want (block comments mainly on YouTube and news sites), but it took more figuring out than I expected. If you're not tech saavy and just want a comment blocker you can install and not have to think about, this is probably not for you. I initially had it on universally, and didn't even realize it was interfering with functionality on sites I use for work. On one website (a client portal where I am required to upload files, which often are accompanied by notes) it showed comments I made previously, but prevented me from editing them. I had no idea this plugin was the issue until I turned it off and was able to edit. Whitelisting every site where it could possibly be an issue is impractical if not impossible. Now I have it set to only block certain sites, which took several attempts and going over the instructions multiple times (which only appear on a pop-up screen, making them hard to read). It is now functioning how I wanted, but if I'd realized how much trouble it was going to be, I would've tried others first. On the plus side, it doesn't interfere with ad blockers. Some of the other ones I tried first seemed to have a glitch on YouTube that would allow ads to get through on top of the video playing, and above the playlist, which was super annoying. This one hasn't had any such issues so far.

In my case, it didn`t work on facebook. I can still see comments on it. Can you help me to fix it?
