AiVOOV is a hassle-free online tool that read the text from web page, PDF file or e-book using text-to-speech (TTS).
I’m disabled, and need help to read. I'll just cut to the chase, I'll be reviewing facts not opinions. FYI, I can only understand English. Is it actually free: No. “free” part, but a paywall for everything else. Does it work?: Yes, But you need to paste text into it. What the voices like: You have your basic standard set of Microsoft and Google voices. Other Languages: Yes Control over the voice (Pitch, Speed, Ect?): You control the volume, pitch and speed with sliders. Can I pause: No _Can it read_ Google docs: Only if copy and pasted Wikipedia: Yes Gmail: Yes AO3: Yes Is it as Advertised: They're not advertising the product that is provided. All of these lines about “Create realistic voices for any text in seconds” “900+ realistic voices” and “125+ languages.” Are for the program that you need to PAY for. The description omits the fact that the copy provided Is the equivalent of basic TTS Programs, Minus the ability to pause. Why the stars? A complete scam with a giant paywall taunting what could be. This is tagged as accessibility, something that should be free. Beyond that it functions quite poorly, Without the ability to pause, or text the voice, You are constantly adjusting and readjusting. (How to fix) My recommendation: Allow for an easier interface, providing the ability to pause and test voices. On top of that I would provide a clear indication stating what parts are to be purchased, And what parts are to be provided in the installation.
